When submitting a full grant proposal, don’t let it travel alone. A paper proposal needs to be accompanied by a cover letter. That’s proper etiquette. Print your letter on agency letterhead. This ensures a professional look and also provides the reader with your agency’s contact information (address, phone number, Web address).
If your letterhead doesn’t contain the address and phone number you prefer the funder to use in contacting your agency, be sure to include this information in your cover letter.
