History of Storage

The concept of storage goes as far back as the ancient Egyptians (my ancestors), who built silos to protect grain from moisture and to store it for use when a famine hit. In the well-known example of that, Joseph oversaw the rationing and storage of grains, and he kept records of the stored amounts. Storage has evolved over the centuries, and today we store not just grain and dates (palm dates, that is) but data.
