Chapter 19. Xcode for CodeWarrior Veterans

Apple’s announcement that Mac OS X would be transitioning to Intel chips came shortly after Metrowerks announced that it would no longer ship tools for development of Intel-based software with its popular CodeWarrior integrated development environment. As of late 2005, the next major revision to CodeWarrior is likely the last and will probably not produce binaries capable of running on Intel-based Macintoshes.

With this sad passing, the many programmers who made CodeWarrior their home are coming for the first time to Xcode. This chapter addresses Xcode from the point of view of the CodeWarrior veteran and explains how to make the Xcode experience less foreign.
