I touched upon the title of this chapter in the previous one. There are a few rules of the road that I recommend so that you and your customer have a healthy e-mail relationship. Most firm don't have a strategy that is customer friendly, and that is why, sadly for marketers, so few consumers willingly provide their e-mail addresses to companies they do business with.
