A really brief history: Passing a story or a point of view from one person to another or many others has been going on for well over 10,000 years. The only difference between our ancestors and us is that they communicated in order to survive day to day and we social network to give our opinion to anybody and everybody willing to listen. And technology makes communicating instantly with whomever wants to see our opinion a part of the fabric of modern culture. Said another way—Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and the like are here to stay and will remain a force in human expression and social change for the rest of human existence.
