Summary

In this chapter, the basic aspects of Design of Experiments were developed. You have seen how the factorial design, by allowing for the measurement of the size of interaction effects, offers a substantial benefit as compared with the one-factor design. Although several designs were discussed, be aware that the topics covered in this book have barely “scratched the surface” of the subject of the Design of Experiments.
