Introduction

In Chapter 6, “Sampling Distributions and Confidence Intervals,” the concept of a sampling distribution was developed, and confidence intervals were used to estimate population parameters. This chapter focuses on making inferences about the hypothesized values of two or more population parameters using sample statistics and hypothesis testing procedures. The variable of interest is the CTQ, and the populations of interest are the different levels of a CTP (X).
