JMP Overview
JMP is an example of a statistical package, a set of programs designed to perform statistical analysis to a high degree of numerical accuracy. JMP was developed by the SAS Institute, Inc. JMP’s statistical rigor, availability for different types of computer systems, and commercial acceptance make this program a great tool for using statistics in Six Sigma management.
Using JMP Data Tables
You start JMP by double-clicking the JMP application icon. A JMP session begins by displaying a menu bar and a JMP Starter window (see Figure A2.7).
