Chapter 2. On the Boards
This chapter is an introduction to handling and using electronic components. The concepts of breadboards is covered, showing how circuits may be constructed experimentally and not permanently. Integrated circuits (ICs) are introduced, specifically dual-in-line (DIL) types. The multi-meter is introduced, basic instructions to use it are discussed, and a specification given so that readers can obtain their own. Instructions are given to build very simple electronic circuits on breadboard, showing how measurements of circuits can be taken with the multi-meter.
