Opening supplier accounts

You’ll have to complete a form to open an account with each of your suppliers. They’ll want to know the company name, registered number, address, details of directors, your bank details and how much credit you expect to need from them. The forms will be one or two pages of A4, and each supplier will provide you with their own.

By signing the form you’ll be agreeing to the supplier’s terms and conditions of sale, so ask to see these too if they aren’t included as part of the form.

Some suppliers will offer you credit only after you have paid for your first order in advance.
