Executive Summary

Once you’re happy with the main plan, you need to write what is called an Executive Summary. This is a one-page (it can be two, but try and make it one if possible) summary of the whole plan.

In this summary you should have one paragraph that summarises each section of your plan.

At the bottom you should give these key financial details:

  • The business will break even once annual sales of £(amount) are reached. The management expect the business to break even in (month)(year).
  • The Turnover (Total Sales) in the first year will be £(amount).
  • The Profit/Loss in the first year will be £(amount).
  • The business will raise initial funding of £(amount) through equity investment by the management/external equity investment/bank loan/other ...
