Reviewing the plan

You’re very likely to find that there are whole sections you want to rewrite as a result of what you’ve learned in later weeks, so don’t be dismayed if that’s the case. I’ve kept this week brief to allow you plenty of time to rewrite it quite substantially!

Make sure that your plan flows, is easy to read, is well presented – simple and clear rather than flashy – and that it makes sense. Read it through from beginning to end and ask yourself these questions, pretending that you’re a bank manager who knows nothing about the business except what’s in this plan:

  • Do I understand what this business will do?
  • Is it clear why this business will do it better than anyone else?
  • Is it clear that people want to pay for what this business ...
