Becoming an expert

In order to succeed in your business, you need to become an expert in your market(s). Good knowledge will alert you to new opportunities, cost savings, new suppliers, new potential customers, new products, new competitors and anything else that matters. Customers will trust you more, and you’ll be able to reach better deals with suppliers.

This week you should spend some time learning about your industry. Of course, you may already be an expert and that’s why you’ve chosen this industry. In this case you need to make sure you stay an expert. It will be a wise investment to spend an hour or two each week keeping up to date with your industry.
