The point

Some of you will love all this. Others will think ‘It’s all a bit wishy-washy and pointless. When are we going to get onto the detailed stuff?’

There are two reasons why all this daydreaming and picturing the future is important, and why it’s so important to actually put those pictures on your board.

First, you need to be sure that running your own business really is a part of your dreams for your future. It’s best to find this out now rather than in two years’ time when you’ve left your job, invested your money and time and put everything you have on the line – only to find out that you really dream of becoming a professional dry-stone waller in the Yorkshire Dales (that’s not a random example, I’ve met someone who made that switch!). ...
