Inserting Sounds and Video
You can insert sounds and videos into your spreadsheets. While Calc does not provide sound and video as separate object types on the Object menu (as StarOffice Writer does), you can insert these file types as OLE objects. They are inserted using the Insert OLE Object option and are considered “special objects.”
To Insert a Sound or Video
You can insert a sound or video into a spreadsheet provided that you have a sound or video player application installed on your computer.

Select Insert, point at Object, then select OLE Object.

Make sure the Create new option button is selected.
