Understanding Calc Macros

Macros are basically mini-programs, or scripts, that you can create to automate repetitive tasks. In Calc, you turn on a macro recorder and record your keystrokes and mouse manipulations. These keystrokes and other actions are recorded as scripting calls in StarBasic. Advanced users (those familiar with the StarBasic programming language) can use a macro editor to edit or fine-tune macros that are created. For the purpose of this book, we will look at how to record a macro and play it back.
