Checking Functions with the AutoPilot

You saw in the previous chapter how the Detective could be used to trace precedents and dependents to help troubleshoot formulas. However, you will find that the Function AutoPilot can provide you with a better debugging tool when you are trying to troubleshoot a function that is proving to be problematic.

To troubleshoot a function with the AutoPilot:

Select the cell that holds the function.

Select Insert, then select Function. The Function AutoPilot will appear (see Figure 6.15).
