Using Special Data Entry Techniques

While we discussed data entry in earlier chapters, we probably should reinforce the notion that data will be acted on by formulas (or functions) and as a result needs to be extremely accurate. If you don't enter data correctly, your formulas and functions will not return correct answers.

A couple of neat tricks provided by Calc, such as entering data in a selected range and the Data Series Fill feature, can be used to help make sure that the values you enter in your cells are accurate. First, let's take a look at entering data in a range, and then we'll work with the Data Series Fill feature.
