Formatting Cell Attributes

Now that we've taken a look at some of the basics of creating your own spreadsheets, we should take a look at the different formatting possibilities for your worksheets. You will find that even the most technically sound of your spreadsheets may be welcomed by blank stares from your colleagues or coworkers; this is because rows and columns of numbers have the uncanny ability to mesmerize just about everyone except accountants.

There is a way, however, to draw attention to key areas of your worksheets through formatting. You can use character attributes, borders, colors, and a number of other options; formatting your spreadsheets provides a way for you to make the numerical data in the spreadsheet more presentable.
