A Few Theater Stories

Knowing jokes is not a substitute for having a sense of humor. There are occasions, however, when a good theater anecdote can be helpful.

  1. The wedding of the daughter of a famous Hollywood character actor brought out many producers, directors, and agents. As the proud father escorted the bride down the aisle, this whisper was overheard: “Will you look who they got to play the father!”

  2. The old circus worker came home drenched from a storm. For years his job had been to follow the elephants in the parades and clean up after them.
