Installation

Cygwin is available from http://www.cygwin.com/. Download the installation program and run it. Make sure to install the following packages:

openssh

The full suite of programs and support files

cygrunsrv

A program needed to run sshd as a Windows service

Once Cygwin is installed, complete the setup:

  1. Make sure that c:\cygwin\bin is in your search path.

  2. Create an environment variable called CYGWIN, and give it the value ntsec tty.
