In this chapter, you learned about two important administrative tools: triggers and stored procedures. You started with triggers, first seeing how they work and then seeing the different uses they have for administrative automation. You learned how to actually create triggers. Then you moved on to stored procedures and learned the benefits they provide for the developer and the DBA. You learned how to create stored procedures and saw an example of how they can be used for administrative purposes as well.
