In this chapter, you were introduced to the many ways in which the command line and scripts can be used to manage and administer your SQL Servers. You learned to launch and customize the command line (CMD.EXE) and you learned to navigate at the command-prompt interface. Next, you learned several administration commands that are essential for managing SQL Servers. After this, batch files were introduced and you created a batch file that can export data from a SQL Server database. Finally, you were introduced to the new PowerShell and Windows Scripting Host.
