The validators and type conversion

Since there is a lot of form information needed by SMP, it has several validator classes to check, if the user has the correct inputs. PropertyEditors are also needed to convert input parameter data to date, time, and other objects, before inserting them into the tables. The rules in Chapter 1, Creating a Personal Web Portal (PWP) have guided SMP in creating these classes.
