Styles

OpenOffice Writer is installed with many built-in styles. To apply styles, use the Stylist—the list box shown in Figure 11-1—that provides the available styles, listed by type. The icons across the top of the Stylist select the type of style listed—paragraph, character, frame, page, and numbering. To apply a style from the Stylist, select the object to be for matted (e.g., click on a paragraph or page or highlight some characters), click the appropriate icon on the top of the Stylist, and double-click the desired style in the list. You can also apply styles using the drop-down list on the object toolbar, as you can in Word. The drop-down list contains the styles that currently are in use in the document.
