Starting the Fedora Installation Procedure

Put the first installation CD (Disk 1) or DVD in the CD or DVD drive and turn on the power to your computer. The computer will boot from the CD and display the installation start screen. (If your machine doesn't boot from the CD, see Chapter 3.)

Press <Enter> to begin the graphical installation procedure. Fedora performs a few tasks, displaying its progress in a plain screen as shown in Figure 4-2. You don't need to respond to or understand the lines on the screen.
