finger (display user information)

Displays information about users, including whether they are currently logged in. Displays information stored in .plan and .project file in the user's home directory. Can display info about a user on another computer.

Format:    finger userlist
Examples:  finger
           finger janet
           finger sam@myschool.edu

The first example displays information for all users currently logged in, showing how long they have been logged in. The second example shows information about the user janet, including the last login and contents of the .plan and .project file. The third example displays information about a user on a different computer.
