Summary
We covered the ways in which a message can be enriched and transformed so that heterogeneous systems are decoupled from data formats of each other. We also covered the claim check concept, which is a special case of transformation and can be used for performance, security, and other nonfunctional aspects.
In the next chapter, we will move on to explore more out-of-the-box components provided by Spring Integration, which help with message flow.
