I truly believe that this edition represents a significant improvement over the first edition of Sports Broadcasting, which came out in 2001. While the first edition covered several important topics that had never been addressed before, I believe this edition expands and improves on the original in many areas.

Primarily, it goes beyond sports broadcasting to take a converged look at the new sports media environment. Today's students rarely concentrate solely in sports broadcasting or print, and they must be able to write and perform across a variety of media platforms.
