Using Number Variables

Data storage in Lingo consists mostly of variables. Variables in Lingo can store any type of value: integers, floating point numbers, strings, or lists. A variable can switch types as easily as it can switch values. So a variable that holds a string one minute can hold a number the next. Let’s look at each value type and what Lingo can do with those types.
