Creating File Attachments

You'll often want to send file attachments with your message. These can take the form of any file: Office documents, graphics for review, saved Web pages, Acrobat PDF files, and many others. These are received as separate attachments that can be opened by the recipient using a wide range of email software, not just Outlook 2003 or Outlook Express.

Sending an Open Word Document as an Attachment

If you are editing a file in Word and want to send it as an attachment, choose File, Send To, Mail Recipient (As Attachment). A separate Microsoft Outlook 2003 email window appears, with the document listed as an Attachment (see Figure 30.4).
