Why Use Outlook and Project Together?
Outlook enables you to track detailed information about your tasks. You can even create a customized task form to track additional information such as responsible department or total project cost. For advanced or complicated projects, Microsoft Project provides additional functionality including resources, dependency information, and project planning capabilities. It's possible to integrate Project and Outlook to make the most of both applications. You can set up a resource list in Project from your Outlook contacts, or use Outlook's flagging features to help keep you on task with your project responsibilities.
