Improving Your Outlook

Here's a list of hints that can help you decide what options are most important to configure and why.

  • Manipulating Outlook's options settings can help you make the most out of Outlook. If you rarely use the journal, consider removing it from the Navigation Pane through the Outlook Bar Options button on the Other tab of the Options dialog box.

  • To keep your mailbox size at a manageable level, empty the Deleted Items folder on exiting and configure AutoArchive options to archive all messages older than six months.

  • Use the Data Files Configuration dialog box from the Mail Setup tab to create new Personal Folders files to store and organize your items.
