No program can be all things to all people. There are probably PIM features you need that Outlook doesn't provide. In that case, you can use a large number of third-party add-ins to add more PIM functionality to Outlook. Some of the add-ins that can be particularly helpful are
Extended Reminders— Outlook supports reminders only in your default folders. If you create other folders for filing your Outlook items, you cannot flag those items for follow up and have a reminder trigger.
