Troubleshooting

Classic Is Launched When Installing Camera Software

When I install my camera's software, the Classic environment is launched.

This happens if the software that is provided with your camera has not been Carbonized or provided as Cocoa software. The solution to this problem is to check the manufacturer's Web site for updates to the camera's software. Download and install the updated software as soon as you find it.

NOTE

If you don't find Mac OS X software for your camera, make sure that you send e-mail or leave comments with the manufacturer so that it knows you need Mac OS X software for their product. The only way manufacturers will update their software is if they believe that customer demand requires it.
