In previous chapters, you learned how XML documents are used for a number of various purposes. This chapter focuses on how XML structures can be stored and the facilities that make this storage useful. This chapter further discusses the strengths of XML as a data source for information storage.
XML is used for structuring messages that are exchanged between machines or for producing content that is read or used by humans in some way. XML also describes and organizes information.
