Preparation
Before we get started with the nuts and bolts of XML and Java, you should be familiar with the technical prerequisites and software that need to be installed on your computer.
Requirements
We assume that you have a working knowledge of programming with Sun's Java Programming Language and are familiar with the installation of Java software development kits and Java libraries. If you aren't, check out an introductory Java Book, such as Special Edition Using Java 2 Standard Edition, also available from Que Publishing.
Software
Make sure that the following software is installed on your machine:
