Roadmap

Now that working with XML in Java has been presented, we will move on in Chapter 17, “Working with XML and .NET,” to discuss working with XML in a similar but competing technology. The Microsoft .NET framework provides similar functionality to Java, and includes built-in libraries for many of the common XML technologies we've worked with in this chapter, such as DOM, XSLT, and XPath. These libraries, and examples to demonstrate them, are covered in the next chapter. Then, in Chapter 18, “XML and Databases,”we'll move on to working with XML in the popular web programming language Perl.
