What Is XLink?
To take full use of XML as a markup format, a generic method for providing links was created: XLink, the XML Linking Language. XLink is a W3C Recommendation that was released on 27 June 2001; this means that the W3C has declared this a stable, proven specification for use on the Web and elsewhere.
