The XML 1.0 Recommendation, XML Namespaces, and XML Schema Recommendations all deal directly with the structure of XML documents. However, there are also a number of W3C Recommendations that deal with various aspects of XML that are not necessarily related to the structure of an XML document, but provide mechanisms for implementing XML in practical solutions.
