The following general resources are for learning more about well-formed XML, as defined in the XML 1.0 Recommendation. These resources are a good springboard for learning about XML and the technologies that are related to XML.

  • XML-DEV (xml-dev@xml.org)— This is the mailing list for XML developers. The topics of discussion run the gamut from simple to complex XML topics, sometimes with heated debate.

  • comp.text.xml— The USENET Newsgroup for the discussion of XML-related issues. As with XML-DEV, the topics of discussion cover a wide range of skills and subjects.

  • xml.com (http://www.xml.com)— XML.com is a site dedicated to following and reporting on developments with XML. It is a commercial site, although the content tends to be fairly neutral. ...
