Process Scheduling

Solaris OE offers commands that let you take extra advantage of your existing computer resources. For example, use the crontab and at commands for automatic execution of system events at a scheduled time. The crontab command can schedule multiple system events, whereas the at command schedules a single system event. These commands schedule processes to run when you are not present to start them manually.

In addition to scheduling processes, you can use the nice and the renice commands to alter the priority in which these processes are executed.
