The CDE Process Manager
CDE provides a Process Manager utility to manage processes. You can use Process Manager to change the priority of the processes and to kill them. To kill a process, select a process in the window and click the Kill option in the Process menu. You also can use the Ctrl+C keyboard combination to kill the selected process.
You also can use Process Manager to send signals to a process. For example, to send a sure kill signal to a process, perform the following steps:
1. | Select the process from the Process menu. |
2. | Click the Signal option. The Signal dialog box is displayed. |
3. | Type 9 in the Signal text box, and press Enter to kill the process. |
