User management activities can be performed with the command line or with the Solaris Management Console (SMC).

Adding Users with the useradd Command

The useradd command can be used to add users to the system. You also can invoke this command to change the default settings. You can display the default user settings on your system and change these settings as required.

Table 11.2 describes the various options of the useradd command.
