Troubleshooting the Server Backup

Q1: If you believe that your backup was not successful, you can review the Windows 2000 Event Log.
You should also review the following conditions that could have occurred:

  • Inadequate disk space for backup image

  • Insufficient permissions on backup folder (directory)

  • Backup process already in progress

  • Required services are not running

    IISAdmin

    MSSearch

    Msdmserv

    MSExchangeIS

If you cannot resolve your issue with the backup process, contact your Microsoft Support resource.
