Introduction

In this chapter, we will explore common administrative tasks specifically for managing a SharePoint Portal Server. Some of the tasks that we will discuss within this chapter are covered in more detail in other chapters. For example, Chapter 9 discusses managing the workspace, which is considered a more detailed granular administration task within the context of managing the server. Because of this, we have created a separate chapter specifically for all the tasks associated with managing the workspace.
