Summary

In this chapter we discussed the key features of the core document management capabilities within SharePoint Portal Server. The key features discussed were check in, check Out, and version control. We discussed how document profiles can be used to associate metadata with documents, as well as how document types can be used to allow for more efficient searches for desired content. We discussed the differences between standard and enhanced folders, and which features are supported within each folder.
