In this chapter, we discussed the three main features of SharePoint Portal Server, which are rich enterprise search, integrated document management, and the robust portal capabilities that can be accomplished using the digital dashboard technology. We expanded on the core capabilities at a high level, in an effort to prepare you for the in-depth discussions on how these features are utilized and referenced throughout the book.
