Why Make the Move to SOAP?
SOAP isn’t a magic bullet designed to kill the problems that plague most of us in a world of ever-increasing complexity. A distributed application requires time and patience to build— a new technology is unlikely to reduce that complexity to any extent. However, SOAP can reduce the difficulty of implementing a distributed application solution by reducing the number of potential problem areas. The mere fact that SOAP makes it easier to move your data through firewalls is enough to use this technology when creating distributed applications.
