Web Controls

Web controls are another way of saying server-side controls. They provide a more consistent object model than do classic HTML elements and the HTML controls. They are a higher abstraction to the Web functionality than the HTML controls. And yes, most HTML elements can be represented as Web controls on the server. One important thing to note, though, is that Web controls can render themselves differently based on the client browser capabilities. They can dynamically adjust to the client browser.
